Description (partial)

Symptom:
If we have equal cost multiple uplinks (FC/FCoE) to the same adjacent switch or to different adjacent switches using which same remote domain can be reached, then the following functionality issues will be seen -
 - either all uplinks except one will not come up
 - even if more than one uplinks come up, then traffic disruptions and IO timeouts will be seen

The bottom line is equal cost multipaths to any domain in the fabric will not work.

Conditions:
If we have multiple equal cost uplinks (FC/FCoE) to the same adjacent switch or to different adjacent switches using which same remote domain can be reached, then the following functionality issues will be seen -
 - either all uplinks except one will not come up
 - even if more than one uplinks come up, then traffic disruptions and IO timeouts will be seen

The bottom line is equal cost multipaths to any domain in the fabric will not work.

That means even if unequal cost multiple links come up (e.g. - san-port-channel with two 8G members and one 8G individual uplink) and later on due to some triggers/events, if it becomes equal cost multipaths (one member of san-po going down), then it will cause the above mentioned functionality issues.
