Description (partial)

The front panel Gig ports on ISR4450 supports only up to 8 MAC addresses. When configuring 8 or more than 8 sub-interfaces and enabling HSRP on them the box reports:
%IOSXE_RP_SPA-3-MAC_FILTER_ADD_FAIL: All the available 8 mac filters for interface have been consumed. Failed to add 0000.0c07.ac01 for interface GigabitEthernet0/0/0

This error message should not occur when we use same HSRP group number as we are essentially using the same Virtual MAC and hence not violating the Limit of number of MAC-Addresses under an interface.

Configuring same group number HSRP under sub-interfaces of integrated Gigabit interfaces on a 4451-X
