Last Modified

Jan 31, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco 7600 Series Routers

Known Affected Releases

15.4(2)S

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Ethernet synthetic loss measurement on distributed IOS platforms stops working following an LACP switchover.

The service level agreement (SLA) show commands will report 0 packets sent and received and 0 observations made, despite the flag of OK.

Conditions:

 - 7600 running IOS release 15.4(02)S and later.
 - Running a SLA session using Ethernet synthetic loss measurement.
 - The responder maintenance point is configured on a port channel which has member links on different line cards

With the above conditions met the issue is triggered by the port channel undergoing a switchover and the newly active link being on a different line card to the previously active link.
