Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

8.6(2.24116.1) 8.6(2.24900.17)

Description (partial)

An unexpected UCM process crash does not generate a core dump file. The lack of a core dump file will prevent failure analysis

Under any condition if a process unexpectedly crashes, if its a UCM Service Manager (SERVM) maintained Service such a Cisco CallManager (ccm) it will be restarted automatically however no core file will be generated that can be analyzed for backtraces.

Also as a result of no core file generation there won't be any CoreDumpFileFound alert raise notifying of this failure condition.

For Servm managed Process or Services there will be a %UC_SERVICEMANAGER-2-ServiceFailed alarm raised
