Symptom:
We will get syslog messages:
 
Mar 16 08:08:29 10.13.36.1 3028812: Mar 16 08:10:49.079 EDT: ILPOWER-3-CONTROLLER_PORT_ERR Controller port error, Interface Gi3/0/16: Power Controller reports Short detected
 
Mar 16 08:08:29 10.12.233.1 464666: Mar 16 08:10:15.220 EDT: ILPOWER-3-CONTROLLER_PORT_ERR Controller port error, Interface Gi3/0/3: Power Controller reports Short detected
 
Mar 16 08:08:29 10.13.18.1 423165: Mar 16 08:10:57.031 EDT: ILPOWER-3-CONTROLLER_PORT_ERR Controller port error, Interface Gi2/0/4: Power Controller reports Short detected

Conditions:
Sometimes when non PoE devices are connected to a 3850/3650 PoE port. Syslog messages are considered to be cosmetic.
