Description (partial)
Symptom: On a Cisco IOS device configured for DMVPN and IPSec, a leak in the "Chunk Manager" process may be observed. In the output of 'show memory allocating-process totals' or 'show memory summary', this is seen to be due to to "SADB Peering Ch[unk]". Over time, this may result in depletion of available memory on the device, and can also lead to crashes. Conditions: This is observed when DMVPN and crypto (IPSec) are configured. The leak occurs when a peer changes state from up to down.
