Cisco Bug: CSCuo81863 - UCCE docs need to state that CTI Route Points require unique DNs

Last Modified

Feb 06, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise

Known Affected Releases

10.0(1) 10.5(1) 9.0(1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
UCCE is not designed to handle 2 route points with the same DN but different partitions. For example:

CTI Route Point 1:
DN - 1000
Partition - pt-test1

CTI Route Point 2:
DN - 1000
Partition - pt-test2

This configuration causes abnormal behavior like intermittent call drops, failed transfers, etc. Sometimes the configuration can work without issue for awhile and then suddenly break.

The UCCE config docs need to be updated to state that this type of configuration is not supported.

Conditions:
The UCCE application user is controlling 2 or more Route Points with the same DN but with different partitions.
