Known Affected Releases

2.0(5f)A 2.1(3b)A

Description (partial)

After VM changes pinning, as a result of power-up / power-down, portgroup change, or vmotion, the MAC address of that VM does not get removed immediately from the MAC address table of the FI which was originally being used by the VM. The MAC address stays in the MAC address table and keeps aging out, and eventually gets removed on its own. Sometimes it gets flushed out after 5 minutes, and at times it can take 50 minutes for the FI to flush the MAC address

Happens when the pinning changes for the VM from one vmnic to the other vmnic, and the two vmnics are pinned to two seperate FIs.

Also the MAC address stays in the system for a random period of time. It eventually gets removed out of the system on its own
