Description (partial)

An end device cannot communicate with another device it is zoned with after the end device port comes online. The issue occurs intermittently.

The following counters for an affected end device port increment on a MDS 9710:

This issue may occur in all NX-OS releases for MDS 9222i, 9506, 9509, 9513 and 9710 switches only. Further, this issue only applies when the end device is connected to an F port which has port mode "auto".

Since the default port mode on an DS-X9448-768K9 module is "auto", this problem may be seen more frequently on the MDS 9710 platform with this module.
