Cisco Bug: CSCuo63103 - Client local switching to central mode load, aaa override, radius nac

Last Modified

Jul 01, 2016

Products (1)

  • Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers

Known Affected Releases

7.4(121.0)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
For 7.4.121.0 only, flex connect, local switching, AAA override, RADIUS NAC

When the WLAN session timeout kicks in, the AP may mark a locally switched client as central switching, (the WLC still shows this client in RUN state, locally switched).
Although this is only seen at session timeout, it doesn't happen consistently.

At this point the traffic is sent centrally, except DNS, ARP and DHCP that is still locally switched (as seen on AP port capture).
This causes total traffic loss at AP, client can't pass any traffic.

Conditions:
Flex + local switching + AAA override + RADIUS NAC
Not applicable to local mode
