Description (partial)
Symptom: IOS-XE platforms such as the CSR 1000v and ASR 1000 do not support the Datapath Service Set (DPSS) processing of packets destined for the control plane (e.g., pings to the device, telnet sessions to the device, etc.). This means traffic destined to the control plane of the IOS-XE device are not eligible to be copy or punted to the DPSS. Conditions: This occurs for IOS-XE devices such as the CSR 1000v, ASR 1000, and ISR 4400.
