Description (partial)

Symptom:
Interfaces stop forwarding packets.

Conditions:
This can happen when either of the following activities are performed:

1. Issue 'default interface' followed by reconfiguring an interface.
2. Issue individual commands to negate an existing interface config, followed by reconfiguring an interface.
