Cisco Bug: CSCuo51140 - DCM can reboot while updating a lot of output SI tables

Last Modified

Jun 16, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Digital Content Manager (DCM) Software

Known Affected Releases

14.10.0

Description (partial)

Symptom:
DCM reboots without obvious reason.
In the mainboard trace one can see a trace like
"No connection possible to IO-Board X: the application will exit"
around the moment of the reboot.

Conditions:
Due to source backup switches (TS Backup or Service Backup), lots of SI tables on the output streams need to update in a short period of 1 to 2 minutes. (SI tables like PMT, EIT, ...). The number of SI table updates that will trigger a reboot varies and depends on the card type : for ASI/Gbe this is around 180 for 10G card this is around 450
