Cisco Bug: CSCuo45828 - AnyConnect SCEP Proxy fails intermittently on apple iOS ver 7.x devices
Feb 22, 2018
- Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: When AnyConnect on Apple mobile devices [iPhone/iPad] with iOS ver 7.x connects to a connection-profile with SCEP Proxy for the first time, it is expected to start an enrollment after the successful authentication, however in this case, we get a message stating "Certificate Enrollment has failed" during 8 out of 10 attempts. And the System logs indicate: AnyConnectAuthenticator: Message type information sent to the user: Certificate Enrollment - Initiating, Please Wait. AnyConnectDataAgent: Function: getHostInitSettings File: /tmp/build/thehoff/DaVinci_MR90.817382679714/DaVinci_MR9/vpn/ApplePlugins/Api/ProfileMgr.cpp Line: 1237 Profile (profile.xml) not found. Using default settings. /DaVinci_MR90.817382679714/DaVinci_MR9/vpn/ApplePlugins/Agent/SCEPMgr.cpp Line: 303 HostInitSettings::getCertificateEnrollment() returned NULL Conditions: ASA acting as SSLVPN Server for Anyconnect clients. Also, we have Scep Proxy configured on the ASA, for automatic certificate enrollment for the clients. Apple mobile devices [iPhone/iPad] with iOS 7.x have AnyConnect client insta;;ed on them that are expected to enroll for a certificate through Scep Proxy.
