Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco Secure Access Control Server Solution Engine

Known Affected Releases

5.4(0.46.5)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
ACS sends the syslog messages to remote targets indicating incorrect time zone.
For the receiver the time is an hour in future.

Indicated time is e.g. 11:47 +01:00 while in fact it is 11:47 +02:00

Cisco Context Discover Agent (CDA) is complaining about the received logs:

Creation time of mapping record is in the future

Conditions:
ACS is configured in a time zone using daylight saving. E.g. Europe/Amsterdam or US/Eastern.

The daylight saving is in effect - e.g. it is spring and the ACS is in CEST (or EDT) time zone.

The ACS is configured to sent authentication syslog messages to a remote syslog target.
E.G. CDA (Cisco Context Discovery Agent)
