Last Modified

Apr 18, 2019

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 1000 Series Aggregation Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

15.3(3)S 15.3(3.3)S3 15.4(1)S 15.4(2)S

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Under heavy load, CPP cpu utilization can become excessive, finally leading to stuck thread interrupt

Conditions:
The issue was seen while running CGN and PAP with BPA although in theory, the error could occur whenever there is a lot of churn on NAT translations and the number of PAT blocks associated with a pool becomes very large (on the order of 8-10 thousand)
