Symptom: On an MDS switch, error messages similar to the following are repeatedly logged to syslog: <pre> %SYSMGR-2-PSS2_VOLATILE_DB_FULL: Volatile database usage in kernel is unexpectedly high at 86%. %SYSMGR-STANDBY-2-PSS2_VOLATILE_DB_FULL: Volatile database usage in kernel is unexpectedly high at 86%. </pre> The number of keys for snmpd_rt_db are high: <pre> # show system internal pss kernel list | include snmpd_rt_db URI TYPE NrKeys Size VDC /dev/shm/snmpd_rt_db pss2 277706 129955932 1 </pre> Conditions: This issue may occur on any switch where RMON alarms are being generated.
