Cisco Bug: CSCuo23188 - C6K_POWER-1-PD_HW_FAULTY when unshutting PoE interf-group (+7ports)

Last Modified

Oct 19, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco Catalyst 6000 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

15.0(1)SY3

Description (partial)

Symptom:
seeing error for some PoE port, when unshutting many interfaces (min 7, sometimes more needed)
under config 'interface range':

%C6K_POWER-1-PD_HW_FAULTY: The device connected to port 7/48 has a hardware problem. Power is turned off on the port.

this is cosmetic/minor however (timing issue probably) as port with PoE just comes up fine right after that error

Conditions:
seen with AIR-CAP3602I-E-K9 connected to WS-X6148A-GE-45AF
on 6500/Sup2T (s2t54-ipservicesk9-mz.SPA.150-1.SY3),

Similar setup using Sup32 doesn not have this problem
