Cisco Bug: CSCuo19435 - OTUk-LOF on 100G transponder
Feb 06, 2017
- Cisco ONS 15454 Series Multiservice Provisioning Platforms
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: During normal operation, an OTUk-LOF alarm is reported at the trunk port of a 100G-LC / 100G-CPK unit and traffic is lost: the issue is present at both ends of the link and requires an HW reset of at least one of the 100G units to restore traffic. Conditions: In order to trigger the OTUk-LOF condition it's necessary polling continuously the card for trunk PRBS statistics, even if the PRBS is not active. The probability of triggering the condition depends from the polling rate and elapsed time: a typical situation that recreates the issue is a connected CPO (Cisco Prime Optical) SW configured to retrieve 'Real Time' performance data or during a CPO node discovering.
