Description (partial)
Symptom: VMware disconnect causes Virt. Channel stop working-VXME not registering Conditions: Log in to a VMware HVD, start Jabber and sign in, disconnect from the HVD, log in again to the same HVD - Device Selector is not present in the quick lunch bar and VXME won't register - Virtual Chanel stopped working. This is the case with the VXME 9.7.0-279 and VXME Utilities 9.7.0.218.171834. With older versions of the Utilities (201 and previous) this worked. With VXME Utilities 202 (iteration 8) this also doesn't work. So the problem was caused by the changes made in VXME Utilities 202 (presumed these changes were about enabling VMware 5.3 to work). This is the case with all VMware versions (5.1, 5.2, 5.3).
