Description (partial)

If the CLI command 'set power inline port maximum 20000' is applied to PoE ports on subordinate switches within a data stack, the 2x power mode bit on the PoE controller is actually disabled.

This is seen on a data stack of 3750X switches running 15.X code.

After the CLI command 'set power inline port maximum 20000' is entered on a port, if the 2x mode is then unset and set again through the 'set power inline port 2x-mode' CLI, the port will initially power up in 2x mode. However, any power removal condition (plug/unplug, shut/no-shut) will result in clearing the 2x mode bit in the PoE controller.
