Description (partial)

This defect has a direct impact on traffic flow on BGP routes on CRS-X linecards. Any flaps in primary/shared link can trigger traffic loss to the tune of 50 to 90 seconds.

1. Traffic going to BGP routes is lost for a long duration (even with basic BGP configuration)
2. The loss is in the range 40 to 90 seconds (depending on type of path being added/removed and topology)
3. This behaviour is magnified if traffic is split equally over a huge number of routes

This defect causes very high convergence time of BGP routes in CRS-X linecards. When a path is lost/added the linecard takes a longer time than expected to program the hardware with new path details.
