Cisco Bug: CSCuo02288 - CPU spike to 100% when receiving CallDisconnectEvent from VCS

Last Modified

Feb 21, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco TelePresence Management Server

Known Affected Releases

14.3.2

Description (partial)

Symptoms:

IIS's CPU usage gets very high.

Sample log entries from log-web-public.txt:

 ---> System.Threading.ThreadAbortException: Thread was being aborted.
   at System.Xml.XmlSubtreeReader.get_NodeType()
   at System.Xml.XmlSubtreeReader.get_NodeType()
   at System.Xml.XmlSubtreeReader.get_NodeType()
   at System.Xml.XmlReader.MoveToContent()
   at System.Xml.XmlReader.IsStartElement()
   at
Tandberg.TMS.SystemAPI.OakPine.XMLFeedbackReader.ReadCallAliases(XmlReader
reader)

Conditions:

The issue has been seen in Cisco TMS 14.3.2, but earlier versions could also be affected. The issue happens when receiving certain gatekeeper registration events from the VCS, when the event contains more than two aliases. Cisco TMS is only able to process two of them, and IIS then starts hanging.
