Cisco Bug: CSCun94872 - Processing of passed delete exceptions should skip if passed or already

Last Modified

Mar 09, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (TMS)

Known Affected Releases

TMSXE3.1.2

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Recurring Meetings with Past Exceptions that are updated in Outlook are removed from TMS and Exchange by TMSXE.

This could occur when a recurring meeting is created in Outlook and Replicated to TMS.
Multiple Occurrences are to be different then the overall occurrence making them, exceptions.

As these unique instances are completed they become "past recurrence exceptions" to the overall recurrence.

There can be instances where the whole recurring series is modified in Outlook and the Master participant is updated / modified.

TMSXE will try to book the Participants that have been modified in the "past recurrence exceptions". Since you cannot book a meeting in the past the whole series booking will eventually fail and the meeting is Deleted from TMS and Exchange by TMSXE

Conditions:
TMSXE sends in past MODIFY exceptions caused by changes to the master participant. These instances should not be sent to TMS for update.

More correctly explained as TMSXE will create modify exceptions for past delete exceptions.
This should be ignored. But since the "master participant" is changed for the whole conference a save would still have been performed.
