Description (partial)

Keep alives should not be sent by the switch at uplink ports.
Switches for example: WS-C2960-48PST-L and WS-C2960S-24PS-L have keep alive being set by default on the gig uplink copper ports.
It is not set on the SFP uplink interface.
By design keep alive default configuration is/should be off on all uplink/pluggable ports.

Issue is seen on 2960, 2960S and 2960X switch, any image or sfp could be used.
