Description (partial)

Symptom:
When using the Search or call field (any of them) the auto-clear behavior is different if you right-click the name and call vs. click the phone icon to call. This is re-producible.

Conditions:
Type name in Search or call box. as the name appears if you click the phone icon and call the name will NOT auto-clear from the search but if you right-click the name from search results and then click to call it will auto-clear.
