Known Affected Releases

7.2.2 7.2.4 7.6

Description (partial)

If slate insertion is configured to be triggered based on Input loss detection, slate picture is not inserted and output profiles just stay with last encoded frame present in the stream before input stream loss (freeze frame).

This is the feature known as "Slate On Video Loss" on the IP Input page.

Slate On Video Loss is not a preset setting. In fact, it is stored in the registry on the CAL machine. It is configured via the following two values:

* HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Inlet\Spinnaker\VideoLossEnable - DWORD - 0 is disabled, nonzero is enabled.

* HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Inlet\Spinnaker\VideoLoss_Path - REG_SZ String - Path to slate file. Must exist at configuration time.

SBB's registry indicates that this feature was not actually enabled on the CAL in question. See inlet.reg.txt - VideoLossEnable is set to 0.
