Cisco Bug: CSCun79879 - discard-route isn't reinstalled after matching component route is gone
Aug 03, 2016
- Cisco Nexus 7000 Series Switches
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: This problem is seen if there is an overlap between the discard route and one of the component routes. In this case, the component route will be preferred over the discard and installed into the RIB. If the component that overlaps goes away, with this bug, the discard route will not be re-installed in the RIB. Conditions: This problem is seen if there is an overlap between the discard route and one of the component routes. Both area ranges (OSPF type-3) and summary-addresses (OSPF type -5) in OSPFv2 and OSPFv3 are vulnerable to this problem. Only releases 6.2.2 onwards are affected by this bug.
