Products (1)

  • Cisco TelePresence Server

Known Affected Releases

unspecified

Description (partial)

Symptom: Slave and master blade lost communication with each other. As a result, the slave blade reboots itself:
060702.289 MEDIA_STREAMS : Info : no inter-fx vbp link fx1 sw1 -> fx0 sw0 keepalive for 35 seconds
060702.289 MEDIA_STREAMS : Info : no inter-fx vbp link fx1 sw1 -> fx0 sw1 keepalive for 35 seconds
060709.890 CLUSTER : Info : Communication with master blade has stopped. System will reboot.
060709.890 CLUSTER : Info : slave blade: shutdown & reboot

Also reports DSP decode errors:
060620.884 DSP(00006011) : os_error: VD[0x13100aa] err rpt: 48 decode errs in 63274 frames over 2100 sec

However, on the master, there is no indication of a problem; it only reports when the slave goes down:

3220 2014/03/10 06:07:33.747 CLUSTER Info lost slave in slot 7,removing any associated DSPs

Condition: It is possible that a single DSP has encountered a lockup on the slave unit. This could result in the backplane communication to be halted and after about 40 seconds, the slave will timeout and restart itself.
