Description (partial)

LLDP frames are sent tagged on native vlan

When LLDP frame is received tagged, Cisco and most of the third-party phones are able to process the packet and learn voice vlan information. However, Polycom phones drop these frames, hence do not learn voice vlan at all.

Tagged only when voice vlan or trunk configuration is added to the interface. Frames are NOT tagged with interface is pure access port.

interface FastEthernet0/2
switchport access vlan 2
switchport voice vlan 3
spanning-tree portfast
