Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco TelePresence Server

Known Affected Releases

3.0(2.48)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When endpoints are connected to a conference, the TelePresence Server event log generates a large number of errors:

133330.498 RTCP : Info : message failed validity checks (wrong version)
133330.510 RTCP : Info : message failed validity checks (wrong version)

These errors can fill up the event log quite quickly if there are many participants connecting.

Condition:
These messages are harmless and do not cause any performance issue on the unit. Validity errors are usually generated when endpoints claim they are sending encrypted SRTCP but in reality they are not.
