Cisco Bug: CSCun66485 - SIP BYE with "Mismatched Transport type in answer"

Last Modified

Oct 18, 2019

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

10.5(0.98000.179)

Description (partial)

Call gets disconnected after the transfer

Symptom:
Call transfer not working with Rendezvous conference

Conditions:
Register secure end points to CUCM.
Call from one end point to MCU via CUCM, SME and Conductor.
Transfer the call to another CUCM end point.

Security is not supported for BFCP app m line neither in device/CUCM side. Setting of both RTP/AVP and RTP/SAVP do not apply to BFCP app m line.
It is NOT correct assumption in SIP layer to set SDP_TRANSPORT_RTPSAVP blindly irrespective of the m line type if mLine.mediaProfiles.isSecureAudioVideo is set.
If media transport type is set to MEDIA_TRANSPORT_UDP_BFCP in SDP, it must be encoded as BFCP app m line instead of just Application m line
