Cisco Bug: CSCun64754 - ASA may traceback when "write standby" command is entered twice
Nov 27, 2020
- Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: When ASA has a large configuration file(e.g. with access-list elements in millions) and "write standby" command is entered twice, the device might crash in thread "tmatch compile thread". The number of times the command has to be issued will vary based on the size of the ASA's configuration. Conditions: This was witnessed in ASA Active/Standby failover pair with very large config file.
