Cisco Bug: CSCun57532 - Cannot create two WLAN with the same SSID and Security when WLAN ID > 17

Last Modified

Known Affected Releases

2.0(0.0.294)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Notes in 3850 switch suggest it can create two WLANs with same SSID and Security, if WLAN ID greater than 17. I have a WISM2 which we are currently running an SSID that we want to run elsewhere (sister company) via being an Anchor controller. Prime Infrastructure will NOT allow me to apply to controller as it sees two WLAN with same SSID and Security a problem, even if the WLAN ID made greater than 17.

The actual WiSM controller interface WILL let me create and save this second WLAN with same SSID and Security on controller, but Prime, after syncing to the controller, will not show this WLAN.

Conditions:
PI 2.0, 3850 or WiSM2 devices
