Cisco Bug: CSCun52799 - ENH: FTP connection timeout should be less strict or tunable on S&S
May 25, 2017
- Cisco Digital Media Manager
Known Affected Releases
5.3 5.3.12 5.3.7
Symptom: Show and Share has an aggressive FTP connection timeout used for backups. If it takes a few seconds to receive a response to an FTP command from the FTP server, the S&S may tear down the FTP connection and fail to complete backups. FTP connection timeout should be tunable or at least set to less strict default value. Conditions: FTP operation getting a few seconds to receive a response from the FTP server. For example, LIST command sent by the Show and Share to the FTP server to check the content of the /vportal folder when a CONTENT+CONFIG backup is executed, taking a few seconds to receive an answer when a big amount of videos is stored on the S&S.
