Cisco Bug: CSCun46196 - Unsupported Server Model fault generated for Inband when not configured

Last Modified

Jan 23, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Computing System

Known Affected Releases

2.2(1b)A

Description (partial)

Symptom:
A Cisco UCS running 2.2(1b) that has a M1 or M2 blade may report a Minor fault related to Inband configuration even though an Inband configuration was not intended for the blade.

Error sample :
Severity: Minor
Code: F1362
Last Transition Time: 2014-03-03T14:16:46.865
ID: 990492
Status: None
Description: Unsupported Server Model
Affected Object: org-root/org-CiscoLive2014/ls-bad-tcp-checksum/iface-in-band
Name: Mgmt Interface Inband Cap Is Not Available
Cause: Server Does Not Support Inband
Type: Management

Conditions:
A Cisco UCS running 2.2(1b) that contains M1 and/or M2 blades which do not support Inband configuration may report a Minor Fault when an admin inadvertently configures the Inband feature by navigating to the Inband tab. Even thought nothing is clicked on the Inband tab to create a configuration. Just navigation to the tab creates a minimum Inband configuration that triggers the Minor Fault.
