Cisco Bug: CSCun45503 - FlexConnect: wired client mac address table not updated on WGB roaming

Last Modified

Jul 16, 2019

Products (1)

  • Cisco Aironet 3700 Series Access Points

Known Affected Releases

7.4(110.0) 7.6(100.0)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
WGB setup with passive wired client roaming across Flex Connect APs on a local switching WLAN.
Upon roaming, the Flex AP is expected to send XID frames for both the WGB and its wired clients in order to update the switch mac address table, however, the XID frame is seen only for the WGB itself, not the wired clients.
For this reason, connectivity from the infrastructure side toward the wired client is broken until the mac address table entry for the wired client on the switch expires.

Conditions:
WGB with passive client, running 15.2(4)JA1
FlexConnect APs - local switching WLAN - 7.4.110.0 and 7.6.100.0
