Cisco Bug: CSCun40429 - Trunked F port between MDS and Nexus 5000 in NPIV mode doesn't come up
Feb 21, 2018
- Cisco MDS 9000 Series Multilayer Switches
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: An F port-channel trunk between an MDS9100 switch in NPV mode and a Nexus 5000 switch in NPIV doesn't reach 'up' state. The same link in nontrunking mode reaches 'up' state as an F port-channel and F port. Conditions: This issue only occurs for an F port or F port-channel trunk link between an MDS 9100 in NPV mode and a Nexus 5000 in NPIV mode. If the Nexus 5000 is replaced with another MDS in NPIV mode the link reaches 'up' state.
