Cisco Bug: CSCun33923 - AnyConnect 3.0.12240 - Use resolved IP addr throughout connection reqst

Last Modified

Mar 23, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client

Known Affected Releases

3.0(12119) 3.0(9266)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
AnyConnect Agent on iPad/iPhone does not retain resolved IP address throughout entire connection request.

Conditions:
AnyConnect 3.0.12240

Environment = More than one ASA available for AC connections where DNS A records exist for ALL available ASA's. (round robin DNS).

When the TTL has been reached on an A record, the AC Agent performs an additional lookup. In the case where A records have a short TTL (30 secs), the additional lookup results in a different IP. (or different ASA where a connection was not initiated to, hence no session token on that ASA, resulting in failed connection).
