Cisco Bug: CSCun30705 - ASR9K - ICMP echo replies not shown in policy-map counters
Feb 12, 2018
- Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: When a device sends ICMP echo requests with different TOS values to the ASR9K, the ASR9K sends ICMP echo replies with the same TOS values. However, when an outbound policy-map is configured on the interfacing facing the ICMP echo request sender, you can see that ICMP echo replies with specific TOS values are not accounted. This only happens on the ASR9K, a CRS-1 accounts ICMP replies with all TOS values correctly. Conditions: This has been observed in XR 4.3.4 and only on the ASR9K.
