Description (partial)

Symptom:
When any fatal error occurs on the ethernet SPA, the software itself initiates an auto-recovery.
Currently in the auto-recovery mechanism only the gila/fugu chip is hard reset. On the MAC there is no reset being done.
If error occurs on the MAC, only doing the gila/fugu reset will not help.

Implementation :
============================================================================================

As Per Marvels Recommendation we have included the MAC HW reset in the reset sequence of the SPA.

Code Changes :
=========================================================================

We are performing MAC Reset , giving a delay of 100 micro seconds and again unresetting the MAC

by writing 0x0001 into the fpga register resetctrl[0] , MAC chip be put in reset

again by writing 0x0000 in into the fpga register resetctrl[0] , MAC chip will be taken out of reset.

+         /* mac hw reset */
+         DEV_WRITE32(&(ether_spa->fpga->resetctrl[0]), (uint32_t)0x0001);
+
+         ETHER_USEC_DELAY(100);
+
+         /* unreset SPA ASICS */
+         DEV_WRITE32(&(ether_spa->fpga->resetctrl[0]), (uint32_t)0x0000);

Conditions:
Recommendation from Marvel to recover from MAC errors is to do a MAC HW reset. Therefore this needs to be included as well.
