Symptom: SR 184.108.40.206. SR 220.127.116.11 Report Writer Version: r18.104.22.168 Channels, sources and Sessions Report hangs when there is not source definition in the headend. How to reproduce: Step 1: Ensure that there is no sessions in the headend. Step 2: Ensure SAM services and Channel map should be available. Step 3: Open the EC WebUI. Step 4: Under EC drop down, navigate to 'Reports' under the Utilities section. Step 5: Click: 'Channels, Sources and Sessions Report' Step 6: Click: 'Run Report'. When you click 'run report', the report will hang for several hours. The WebUI message shows 'Running Channels, Sources & Sessions Report Data Collector. Please Wait. Do not click any browser button until this report is completely finished' Step 7: Kill the report by command line after some time as follows: bash-3.2$ ps -ef | grep -i report dncs 19174 1 9 20:47:22 ? 2:44 /usr/bin/perl /dvs/RepWriter/current/bin/do_report_async.pl dncs 19494 5774 0 20:50:07 pts/1 0:00 grep -i report bash-3.2$ kill -9 19174 Step 8: Create source definition one of the source Step 9: Now run the "Channels, Sources and Sessions Report", then it will generate report.
