Cisco Bug: CSCun14830 - [Sys-Test] Assertion failure at sessmgr_pgw_gngp_ho_pre_install_sess()
Jan 29, 2017
- Cisco ASR 5000 Series
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: After demux process restart happening immediate followed by unplanned demux migration caused double fault condition for demux, forcing it to stop. This brought down the services handled by the demux, impacting calls on that service. Calls runnin on PGW-service and GGSN-service will be impacted. If GnGp is enabled in the setup, handover request initiated during the system going down event can show this crash. Conditions: Double fault condition where egtpinmgr process restart and unplanned demux PSC migration happens at the same time.Double fault is seen when demux migration and show commands retrieving stats from demux are executed at the same time. This has chances of causing double fault as process is in migration and queried for the stats. This causes, system to assume that process is not there and enforce double fault handling.
