Cisco Bug: CSCun13382 - Self-provisioning application requires phone model with SBD

Last Modified

Jul 03, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

10.0(1.10000.24)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Phone models that do not support TVS/Security By Default cannot use the self-provisioning application on the phone. The phones will show a blank services page. This is due to the self-provisioning Idle URL only supporting HTTPS and phones need TVS functionality to authenticate the HTTPS certificates.

This defect is opened just to update the CUCM 10.0 Administration Guide Self-Provisioning guide that this is a known caveat.

Conditions:
Using CUCM 10.0 Self-Provisioning service with phones that did not contain TVS functionality such as 7960s, 7940s, IP Communicator, etc.
