Known Affected Releases

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Overview
================
Utilize Touch to backup and restore CTS/TX hardware configurations during hardware replacement or factory resets. During a codec replacement the touch will give the option to restore the previous CTS/TX hardware configuration or default hardware configuration.

Challenges/Impact
===============
* Non-technical customers cannot update the required codec information during factory resets leading to a longer duration downtime. Additional resources have to be obtained incurring an increased time to resolution and financial burden for both Cisco and the customer.
* Decreased perception by the customers concerning ease of use.
* Incorrectly information added to the endpoint due to human error.
* Fewer factory resets due to a lack of technically adequate assistance. A higher RMA rate is incurred.
* Prolonged hardware replacement duration and downtime.

Conditions:
RMA or Factory restore
