Cisco Bug: CSCun00007 - TLS required alert not following alert configuration scheme

Last Modified

Mar 16, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Email Security Appliance

Known Affected Releases

7.6.2-HP-014

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When a TLS Required alert is configured, the alert mechanism does not follow the configured parameters in the Alert configuration screen. The 'Initial Number of Seconds to Wait Before Sending a Duplicate Alert' and 'Maximum Number of Seconds to Wait Before Sending a Duplicate Alert' are not in use in case the same destination fails on a subsequent TLS Required delivery.

Conditions:
TLS Required alerting enabled in Destination Control Table and TLS Required connections are failing. Only a single alert is triggered although the TLS Required connection is failing several times within several days.
