Last Modified

Known Affected Releases

Description (partial)

Symptom:
An Ipv6 UDP packet (inbound for LB) is received and dropped and not load balanced to rserver. This seems to be related to the idle time of the inbound Load Balanced (LB) connection. The default UDP timeout is 10 seconds. We tried to increase it to 1 hour (3600 seconds) and we found that the functionality of the Ipv6 UDP timeout is broken. The connection would still timeout at around 3 to 4 minutes but it was not exact. When the failure occurs this counter increments:

Terri-ACE30-Passive/Admin# show stats loadbalance | incl "Valid Real"
Total Close Msg for Valid Real : 1

Conditions:
IPv6 VIP.
