Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco Identity Services Engine

Known Affected Releases

1.2(0.906)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Sponsor Portal Treats sponsor@domain.com , domain/sponsor and sponsor as different users

Conditions:
1) Create a sponsor user in Active Directory and assign it to AD_sponsors group
2) Configure AD in External ID Stores and add AD in sponsor portal sequence
3) Create a new sponsor group policy with condition as AD external group equals AD_Sponsors and Sponsor group as Sponsor_Own_Account (say , sp_policy : any + ad_sponsors = sponsor_own_account)
4) login to the sponsor portal using the sponsor user created in AD in the form
"Domain Name\ Sponsor user Name" and create a guest user.
(say mydomain\sponsor)

5) logout and login to the Sponsor Portal using a same sponsor user in a different form "sponsor_user_name@domain_name.com".
 (say, sponsor@mydomain.com)

6) It is expected to show the guest users which were created in step 4 , but the sponsor portal is treating domain\sponsor , sponsor@domain.com , domain/sponsor and sponsor as different users, but they are different forms logins used for the same sponsor user indeed.

End user Guest Portal and MyDevice Portals are working fine
