Cisco Bug: CSCum94836 - SUP2T drops any Rx packet with "queue-limit multiple-type-based" ON

Last Modified

Jan 24, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco Catalyst 6000 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

15.1(1)SY1 15.1(2)SY

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When Ingress LAN-Queuing service policy with "queue-limit multiple-type-based" (under any class-map) is applied at inbound direction then it drops all packets. ARP/ECHO do not work and it shows all packets being dropped under class-default even though there is lot of bandwidth (70%) available for the default class. Interestingly same configuration works when it is applied on any port on the other ASIC (say Gi1/2,Gi1/16 etc). We see Bandwidth Rx: [failed (0xFF)] on both the cases here (where it works and where it does not).

Conditions:
When Ingress LAN-Queuing service policy with "queue-limit multiple-type-based" (under any class-map) is applied at inbound direction and issue is seen only for one ASIC of the module.
