Cisco Bug: CSCum88842 - Uninitialized variables being used in tls_proxy

Last Modified

Jul 07, 2014

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASA Next-Generation Firewall Services

Known Affected Releases

100.3(0) 100.4(0) 9.1(2)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Data Plane may behave in sporadic ways while dealing with SSL / TLS flows

Conditions:
When TLS Proxy determines "not to decrypt" a certain TLS/ SSL connection, it sends a server term. If the function executing the server termination logic, gets a used stack, it is quite possible that some uninitialized variables may get initialized to undesirable values.
